Make games in your browser. From first sketch to a playable link.

One studio for art, levels, sound and logic, running on our own 2D and 3D engine. No installs, no exports, no glue code.

How it works

Idea to playable, without leaving the tab.

Most game projects die in the gaps between tools. Caustic removes the gaps.

01

Build on one canvas

Paint sprites, lay tiles, place entities and wire up behavior in the same scene. Every tool edits the same project, so nothing gets exported and re-imported.

02

Play it instantly

Hit play and the engine runs your game right where you built it. The editor and the game share one renderer, so what you see is what ships.

03

Share a link

Publish a play link anyone can open in a browser. No download, no store page, no build pipeline to babysit.

The studio

One canvas. Every tool opens over it.

Your world lives on a single stage. Art, sound and logic editors slide in on top of it, so you always see your edit in the game it belongs to.

Pixel art

Layers, palettes and frames, drawn straight onto your sprites.

Tiles & levels

Tilesets, autotiling, rooms, collision and cameras.

Animation

Frame clips, skeletons and animation state machines.

Audio

Mixing, effects, spatial sound and adaptive music.

Behavior

State machines and game flow, compiled for the engine.

Dialog & cutscenes

Branching conversations and scripted sequences.

Game UI

HUDs and menus rendered at native resolution.

Lighting & VFX

Dynamic lights, shadows, particles and shaders.

The engine

A real engine, built for the browser.

Caustic isn't a wrapper around someone else's runtime. We wrote the engine, so the studio and the game speak the same language, with no royalty on what you ship.

RuntimeC++20 compiled to WebAssembly, WebGL2 and WebGPU
Dimensions2D and 3D in the same engine
World modelEntity-component system that scales past fixed caps
PhysicsBox2D for 2D, Jolt for 3D
LogicDeterministic VM: same inputs, same game, every time
MultiplayerRollback netcode and replays built on that determinism
RenderingClustered lighting, soft shadows, global illumination
AudioSpatial propagation and adaptive music

Copilot · Built with Claude

An assistant that edits your game, not just your text.

Caustic's copilot is built on Claude by Anthropic. It understands your scenes, components and behavior, and proposes changes you stay in control of.

Ask in plain language

“Make the door open when the player has the key.” The copilot turns it into a list of concrete edits to your project.

Review before anything changes

Every suggestion is a proposal you can read, tweak or reject. Nothing touches your game until you approve it.

Generate the first draft

Sprites, tiles, shaders, dialog and sound to start from, so a blank project is never really blank.

Who it's for

Easy to start. No ceiling once you're in.

Your first game

Nothing to install, a copilot that explains as it builds, and a link you can send to friends the same day.

Indie & solo

Every discipline in one place, so one person can carry a game from idea to release without a toolchain.

Small teams

One shared project, a deterministic engine and multiplayer foundations that hold up as the game grows.

Build with us early.

Caustic is in closed development. We're letting creators in a few at a time and shaping the studio around what they make.
